Short Bio

I began my artistic journey in my late teens. After graduating from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I created art while traveling and living across the United States. However, as I grew older, I realized I wanted to start a family. Like many artists today, I found it challenging to provide for my family while pursuing my artistic ambitions. Therefore, in my early 30s, I shifted my focus to commercial art for financial stability. After a decade of working in commercial settings, I realized how deeply I missed creating fine art. In 2024 this realization led me to redirect my attention back to my true passion—art making.

Statement

Primarily I work with oil on canvas. My work is a reflection and a reaction to my experiences. Often one painting is motivated by the painting that came before it. Through my art, I strive to capture both the emotional and physical essence of the objects and scenes I encounter, offering viewers a glimpse into how I perceive and understand the world around me.
